万建民科研成就科研综述万建民长期从事水稻优异基因挖掘和分子育种研究,在中国国内较早提出和初步实践了作物分子设计育种

在水稻籼粳交杂种优势利用基础研究、品质优异基因挖掘、抗病虫新基因挖掘和优质高产多抗粳稻新品种选育等方面取得重要进展

 1993年至2015年12月,万建民带领团队相继发现了9个籼粳交雌配子和8个雄配子不育位点,分别占中国国内外已报道的62.5%和43.75%,并在相应位点发现广亲和基因;聚合不同位点的广亲和基因,创制广亲和不育系和恢复系,组配的籼粳交新组合结实率稳定在85%以上,有效解决了籼粳交配子体败育难题

 万建民还指导团队利用分子标记和辅助选择的方法,通过两种技术路线,聚合S5-n、S7-n、S17-n等不同位点的广亲和基因和光钝感基因Dth8,创制广适强优恢复系W107,由其组配的协优107于2006年在云南永胜县创1287公斤的世界水稻亩产最高纪录

 万建民带领团队摸索出了条纹叶枯病抗性鉴定方法,建立了规模化抗病鉴定技术体系,对10977份种质资源进行了抗性鉴定,筛选出高抗种质212份;并从高抗种质中挖掘抗条纹叶枯病基因QTL 24个,占中国国内外已报道的71%;精细定位主效抗病基因Stv-bi;创建抗条纹叶枯病高产优质水稻分子标记聚合育种技术体系,创制抗条纹叶枯病优质新种质16份

选育出适应不同生态区的早中晚熟系列抗条纹叶枯病高产优质新品种10个,并得到大面积的推广应用;该成果在短时间内,解决了南方粳稻区受条纹叶枯病流行危害的难题,促进了水稻生产的发展

 此外,万建民带领团队通过筛选高抗材料,定位了12个抗褐飞虱基因/QTL;精细定位了广谱高抗基因Bph27,克隆的广谱高抗基因Bph3为编码三个植物凝集素类受体激酶的基因簇,对褐飞虱的抗性具有累加作用,该研究成果2015年发表在Nature Biotech.,同期评论文章给予了高度评价;此外,他们还将Bph3和Bph27导入籼稻品种9311和粳稻品种宁粳3号,创制出优质抗虫新品系,并转让应用于水稻育种
