陈发虎研究成就科研综述陈发虎主要从事环境变化、古气候和干旱区地理研究

在中国西部黄土地层和气候记录、干旱区湖泊记录、晚第四纪气候快速变化、环境考古等研究领域有重要贡献

在史前人类永久定居青藏高原的过程和机制、亚洲中纬度地区气候变化的“西风模态”等方面有重要创新性认识  

他的研究成果包括:①系统开展了黄土高原西部地区的黄土地层、黄土沉积年代和气候记录研究,以西部地区典型的兰州九州台黄土剖面为基础,建立了适用于区域对比的黄土-古土壤序列,推动了中国黄土气候学的发展,为轨道尺度气候多旋回理论的完善做出了贡献;②开展了末次冰期旋回冰期/间冰期状态的气候快速变化研究,较早提出中国末次冰期冬、夏季风均存在快速变化,但具有区域特色;发现中国季风边缘区全新世气候也存在千-百年尺度的气候快速变化,表现为多次重大干旱事件,并具有全球联系;发现温暖的末次间冰期东亚季风气候具有轨道尺度的变化特征,不存在国外报道的气候不稳定性变化;③发现西风环流显著影响的亚洲中部内陆干旱区的湿度(降水)变化模式与季风气候存在显著差异,提出了在不同时间尺度上全新世气候变化的“西风模式”新观点;④揭示了区域环境剧烈变化与史前人类活动的相互作用,提出史前人类向青藏高原扩散经历了三个主要阶段,农业扩散和发展促进了史前人类在晚全新世才长年定居青藏高原的新观点

⑤发现丹尼索瓦古老型智人(夏河人)早在16万年前生活在青藏高原东北部甘肃夏河甘加盆地,已经适应高寒缺氧环境;⑥发现自然暖期高山湖泊发生富营养化,提出现代人为暖期和自然暖期对高山湖泊生态系统的影响不同

 研究成果曾入选Science刊物评选的2019年度十大科学突破、Science News评选的十大科学新闻、美国考古杂志评选的十大世界考古发现、中国十大科技进展、中国十大科技新闻,2015、2019年度教育部自然科学十大进展

 承担项目&成果奖励曾主持完成国家“973”项目课题3项、国家自然科学面上和重点基金项目7项及国家基金委创新群体基金和教育部学科引智项目各1项
