摘要:Metamaterials are man-made structured composites, that that exhibit remarkable electromagnetic properties owing to subwavelength structuring of unit cells, forming the media. The concept of metamaterials for centimeter (GHz) waves is extremely practical, as fabrication processes and characterizations are relatively cheap and straightforward. We will demonstrate several metamaterial and metasurface-based structures with peculiar scattering properties. For example, miniature cm-size metamaterial super scatterers will be shown to demonstrate enormously high radar cross-sections, prevailing those of big airborne targets.
