报告题目: Discovery and control of topological states in magnetic materials using symmetry-indicators

报告摘要:Magnetic topological materials (MTMs)  host great  device-application value due to the freedom of manipulating topological states by tuning magnetic structures. The magnetic topological quantum chemistry has been applied in the high-throughput calculations on around 400 experimentally-characterized  magnetic materials, utilizing  the  reported magnetic space groups (MSGs), while the control of topological states remains unexplored. Here we first exhaust all possible translationengleiche subgroups (t-subgroups) for the 1651 MSGs, and obtain the compatibility relations between high-symmetry points of the MSG and those of the t-subgroup. We then firstly use the symmetry-indicators to perform the topological classifications on the 898 stoichiometric magnetic materials by first-principles calculations, among which 202 are highlighted to keep topological with at least three different values of first-principles parameter U. We then list all inherited topological states by symmetry-breaking using the t-subgroups. The electron filling is also tuned so that almost all topological bands around the Fermi level are predicted. The results are expected to be directly studied experimentally combined with feasible means to tune the topological states, and can also guide the optimization of topological states in realistic magnetic materials towards nearly ideal MTMs.
